Rated 3 out of 5 by from I've been searching for the most durable, casual work pants and these are the closest to that description I have tried thus far. The sizing is spot on, the fit is relaxed but not too baggy. I think the weight of the rugged flex canvas is sufficient for medium-duty labor. One feature that differs from the product photo on the website is the belt loops. There are 7 in the picture but in reality there are only 5. This is a bummer because these pants were almost perfectly comfortable but now, I struggle with the pants bunching up under my belt on either side of the middle-back belt loop. These pants would be perfect if they were as pictured.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved them...while they lasted I first got a pair of these pants about 7 months ago. Instantly loved the fit, quality and functionality of them so I ordered another pair in a different color. The second pair fit completely different than the first (very baggy, waist bigger despite being the same size), so I wore the first pair the most. Here I am 7 months later, and the crotch seam has ripped. Not in the gusseted area, but directly behind. I wanted to get another pair of these, but I just can’t justify it when they don’t even last a year. I wear these to and from work, so they don’t even see any abuse. Definitely surprised as I was under the impression Carhartt was built to last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants but knee pads don’t work I first got the shorts version of these pants, and lived in them all summer for work and everyday wear. Loved the shorts so much had to get these pants . They run a little bit bigger then the shorts in the waist for me. I’m 5’7” 195lbs average male, and wear 36x30 , fit was good. Feel comfort and quality was spot on. Got the knee pads to go with these pants for work. Major design flaw here being to low. The double knee stops very low and that’s what holds up knee pad in place. Well the knee pads act as shin pads , and do not work at all. Good idea but I don’t think anyone actually tried them on to test out. Still love the pants comfort style and look.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pants are ok but knee pads are non-functional Overall, the pants are Ok. To be expected, the fit is fairly generic. The only reason I bought these pants was because of the option to add knee pads. When working I’m constantly on my knees and need protection. Unfortunately, the pads don’t work. I just don’t see how, given the design of the pants and the pads that you expect that they stay in place. Within a few minutes of working they shifted out of position and no longer covered my knees. A few mins more and they started sliding out of the bottom. It really makes me wonder if you put these through any sort of testing period. With just the slightest trial run I understood that they wouldn't work. I’ve decided to keep them for the sake of my knees. By stitching them in place I’ve managed to get them working OK but it isn’t ideal. It makes me question your brand, and is definitely the result of a real lack of care and attention to detail. I would never recommend this combination to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't buy if you want serious work pants I was initially drawn to these pants because they looked like the old double front duck pants that were carhartt relaxed fit (I don't like swimming in my pants and these seemed a good fit just as those are) and I'll have to say they are comfy. however they are very weak pants. really weak sauce build for carhartt. if you are looking to do any real work in pants, and want to get mileage out of them (like you should in anything that has the carhartt logo on it) look elsewhere. I ripped them out on my butt after 5 months, even though these have that special "flex fabric." the pockets are also are unriveted, I like to keep a tape measure on my pocket and ended up riveting them myself after a couple months

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Pants I have worn many of the Carhartt double knee pants in the past and none have been as comfortable as these. I have only had them a few months and they seem to be holding up just as well as the other Carhartt pants I have owned. These are much softer and far more flexible than the other products. The fit is also much better than older products. They seem to be a bit narrower around the ankle, which is great, but they are not constricting in the legs. I hope to see these pants in a wider variety of colors in the near future because I will certainly be buying another pair!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect. The most comfortable Carhartts I have ever had. Great for climbing around and over things. Just the right amount of stretch. Also has a nice side pocket on right leg that fits my smartphone perfectly. Only two drawbacks. #1 need more pockets. Definitely more but not the "cargo" type please. #2 need a hammer loop and make sure it will hold a 32oz ball pen without it dropping through like some of your others. (not everyone uses claw hammers) If you fixed these 2 things they would definitely be 5 star work pants. Especially for us older fitters with a few extra pounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband pretty much lives in these! I've always known Carhartt pants are worth the investment, but I had no idea until I bought these particular pair for my husband and he loves them! The flexibility of the fabric allows him to do his job with ease! He'd previously wore Rugged Wear jeans from Wrangler, but they were stiff, and would wear out within a couple months. He's had these Carhartts for several months now, and they still look brand new after he's worn them almost every single day and been washed numerous times! The fit is also perfect for him! I just had to come back and buy him a second pair!
