A properly fitted garment not only keeps you looking professional, but also keeps you feeling comfortable for your entire work day. See below for advice on taking accurate measurements.

Carhartt Scrubs Unisex Sizes

Unisex scrubs are designed to be worn comfortably by both men and women and are generally cut to fit a bit more loosely. Since the fit accommodates men, many women achieve a better fit by stepping down one size from what they might otherwise wear in a ladies' size.

How to Take Your Measurements for a Great Fit

For best results, follow these guidelines:

  • Take all measurements in inches
  • If your measurements are between sizes, order the larger size
  • For greatest accuracy, have someone else take your measurements (rather than doing it yourself)
  • Your tape measure should be pulled snug, not tight

Chest: Exhale, then measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest; Be sure to hold the tape level and firmly, but not tight

Waist: Keep the tape loose and measure around your natural waistline; For most, the waist will sit at the hipbone, but if you wear your scrub bottoms at a different place on your waist, please adjust accordingly

Length: We suggest Petites for women up to 5'3", Regular length up to 5'6", and Tall length for 5'7" and above.

Inseam: Measure from the top of inner thigh to the top of the heel of the shoe.

Hip: Standing with your feet slightly apart, measure around the fullest part of your body.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from be cautious of sizing as another person pointed out sizing is a big issue. I have a feeling that this sizing issue only relates to larger sizes. I am 6'6" and weigh 285. I wear a size 40/34 in Union Bay cargo pants and same in wrangler relaxed fit jeans. When I received the pants I attempted to put them on. the gap was around 4 inches. It was as if I had gotten size 36 or 38. The gap on my supposed 40's was four inches. So I returned them and decided to just go way up to a 44/32. Well it worked sort of. the 44 is too big but at least I can wear them. Should have gotten a 42. I own a lot of their stuff but never have tried pants. returns are strange!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Baggy when compared to Waist Size My normal waist is 35" with a 32" inseam. Since this pant is not available in a 35" I purchased a 36". It's comfortable in the waist but very baggy in the legs (from the seat and things to the feet). I love Carhartt for the quality and durability, but they really need a straight-leg version of more of their pants. I understand the need for room to move when you're working but if you're someone like me with skinnier legs the pants are often just too baggy to wear comfortably. Looks are secondary, but it would be nice not to look as your close are always too large (which is necessary if you want a comfortable waist).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Over all a great pair of pants. I've been wearing these pants for about a year now and I've gone through about 2 or 3 pair. Once they get dirty they don't completely wash out but for work pants who cares if there is a faded stain. I've never had any issues with them wearing out but the problem I have with every single one is this "rip-stop" fabric. It doesn't work. The only reason I've had to retire a pair of pants is because about 2-3 months into wearing them the crotch rips wide open. Every one, same exact place. But they are extremely comfortable and I really like the way they look so I'll continue to buy them and sew patches on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Carhartt force Tappen cargo pant review Best work pant ever! liked them so much I bought 3 more! Super comfortable, the material is extremely rugged but soft against the skin. I have problems with rough clothing rubbing against my thighs and causing ingrown hairs sometimes but not with these. They fit a little smaller than their size but not so much as to where they're uncomfortable. I'm a small 38, somewhere between a 38 & 36, and they fit comfortably snug around my waist. If you don't like wearing your pants up around your waist (Just below your navel) and plan on sagging these a little bit than defiantly order 1 size up. Other than that, the inseam is true to size, all in total I would highly recommend these pants

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I get these bought for me at work and for the small guys they love them but the waist runs a little on the small side. When they are new the seam across the calf is annoying but after5-6 washes with softener you don't notice it anymore. The big downside is us bigger guys, if your thighs rub at all when you walk you will have a hole in the crouch in about 4 moths. The good side is the rip stop works great and the hole doesn't spread. I also work in a hot humid environment so the light weight helps you stay cool and helps them dry fast so your not sitting in sweat soaked pants long on your breaks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looked great. Tore easily The first time I wore these I was very impressed, they were comfortable, the pockets were useful and they SEEMED durable. However, the 2nd time I wore these pants they snagged on something small (not sharp) and I ended up with an 8 inch tear on the lower right leg. I have snagged jeans and exercise pants on that same spot and nothing else has ever torn. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. I know that Ripstop material should be much more durable because that is what my Army uniforms are made out of and they are far more durable than these pants. I have always bought and been impressed with Carhartt products, but unfortunately, these pants are the exception. I would NOT recommend them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not wear if you have to move around I work at a landscape supply and hardscape center so I am moving around a lot and all day. When dealing with pavers, bricks, and especially natural stones I have to be able to squat down and lift these (sometimes) 100+lbs stones in a safe position. I purchased these pants with the assumption they were durable, nope. After 5weeks of owning them I noticed a small hole near the stitching of the cargo pocket and a few weeks after that I ripped another hole squatting to pick up a stone on my backside. I will say these pants are nice to wear around but if you are in a job like mine where you have to move around and get into a squat position these are not the pants to own. I was sadly disappointed with my purchase

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Carhartt Cargo's My wife picked me up three pairs of these a month or so ago for a current school Im in. The pants have been washed 4 or 5 times max (only worn once then washed each time due to sweating during the day) and are already showing significant signs of wear and tear as well as fading in the crotch and knees and minor ripping. The type of physical activity im doing in this course doesnt really warrant that kind of deteriorated state. They were pretty comfortable to start out with though and did look good. Probably wont buy them again though for the short lived use I got out of them
