Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not warm enough to work outside in the winter I wish I could get my money back on this. I bought this to work at an open dock in the Minnesota winter and it prooved to be insufficiently warm even when layered and wearing insulated bibs. The sales person said this was the warmest rating but it's not adequate for outside work below 25F. I wear two underlayers, one synthetic, one merino wool, a winter shirt and the jacket and I can feel the cold on my back and shoulders. I can't wear more because I have to be able to remain very flexible. Within the first month one of its snap buttons came off and got a small rip on the side. This is a terrible jacket for working outsider in the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight tough jacket I needed a jacket for outdoor work in the fall/spring that wasn't my nice puffy jacket and this is perfect. It's a lighter material than a normal carhartt jacket, which allows me to move better when doing woodworking projects and the exterior still seems very durable. I wouldn't wear it in the Northeast in the winter unless I'm moving around a lot or if it's really sunny because for me, it just wouldn't be warm enough for below freezing weather. That being said I don't do a lot outdoors in the winter anyway. Fits very well, is not annoyingly girly (with random straps and features you don't need/that get in the way) and is a great overall jacket!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Completely stupid sleeves... This jacket looked great and loved the lining but WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THE SLEEVES?!? They have a taper to them which I think is designed to cover the back of your hand… except I think they just cut it out of the regular sleeve length. So the longest point of the taper hits just at my wrist bone which causes the shortest point of the taper to leave about 2-3 inches of my wrist, above the palm of my hand, completely exposed. I was so disappointed because every other part of this jacket fit perfectly. I just couldn’t live with those stupid sleeves after spending Carhartt levels of money. It’s already on its way back to Carhartt :( :( :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Just bought this and immediately loved the fit! I have an athletic build and my shoulders are a little broader so the Swing Fit is PERFECT for me. Like another reviewer mentioned, it’s nice when you move your arms around the entire jacket doesn’t move. Nice that it has some shape to it and isn’t boxy. Lots of pockets. I personally have no issues with the length of the arms, but I’m also only 5’2’’, 140lbs and bought it in a small to be able to wear layers underneath. I haven’t tried it in freezing weather to see if it’s really warm but like I said, I got it in small rather than ca to leave a little space for sweatshirts and layering.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfection, but too big for me Runs very large: I got an extra-small in spite of the TrueFit recommendation of small. Even so, it’s super loose - almost comparable to my boyfriend’s (men’s medium)! Aside from that, it’s perfect: light, comfortable, warm, soft without being flimsy. It looks and feels very well-made, and the adjustable waist tabs and bottom drawstring give it a nice shape even though it’s quite a bit larger than I’d like. The sleeves also seem a tad short, but I think it’s because of the (genius!) angled cuffs. They keep my wrists warm even with arms bent to put my hands in the pockets, and they curve away at exactly the spot where I always pinch/rip/stain other coats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME Barn Coat I got this coat late last Winter and got a load of use from it and it has become my favorite "go to" when working out in the barn or on the tractor. It fits well, cuts the winter winds, repels rains and snow very well and is comfortable to wear and work in. I love the way the ends of the sleeves have a little extra coverage and fits under gloves perfectly to keep hands protected nicely.- and the rain falls right away! The jacket seems the perfect weight and I bought a tad bigger to layer- but so far additional layers have not been needed! LOVE IT...Carhartt products have never let me down in quality and performance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite! I absolutely live this jacket! Flattering look, and ease of movement. I gave 4 stars because the sleeves could have been a little longer. I’m usually a size M or L, got the L and could have even gotten an XL. The sleeves in the L are perfect, but when I stretch my arms out a little short, and I am a short person with short arms: 5’2”! I am very curvy and busty, and if I want to wear more than one sweatshirt under this jacket, I wouldn’t gotten an XL. Also, compared to Tibet Carhartt style jackets, I’m not sure if this one will withstand ripping as well. The material in the outside isn’t quite as thick and hard, but I suppose that’s why it has better movement and comfort

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is perfect for work! This jacket keeps me so warm and dry. I work on a horse ranch and it is very comfortable and I can move around well in it when feeding or grooming/tacking. I thought it may be too short but it’s the perfect length. I can wear it when I’m riding and my lower back doesn’t get exposed. I love the inner pockets and the fact that the outer ones have a zipper and flap. Other jackets I wear that are openend up with so my hay in the pockets when I feed but not this one. And the hood actually covers my whole head, it’s always annoying when when your forehead still sticks out and your face gets rained on. This jacket is so durable and well designed, I would definitely recommend it!
