Rated 1 out of 5 by from These boots are terrible! I'm a Mechanic, 63 years old, and this is the first time I've had footwear feel worse after breaking them in for a month than when they were brand new! And they were over $200! I tried on Chippewa and Keen, and decided on these. What a mistake. The right boot feels like it was made wrong, and the left felt OK, but now hurts at the front of the ankle. But they felt good in the store. Stick with old well established companies, Keen is about 20 years old. I only gave them a star because the Waterproof test passed and the Insulation is good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what I was hoping for. Returned the boot. I bought these boots at a Keen retailer. I was looking to replace a pair of Chippewa boots that had lasted me 4 1/2 years. I ended up only wearing the boots about 4 times before I decided these were not for me. Pros: The boots took only about 2 days of wearing them to break in. Not a deal breaker for me at all. Overall the comfort was very good. The boots had a lot of padding which made the boot very nice. They kept my feet warm. They had all the bells and whistles in terms of protection. Cons: Even though for me not a deal breaker, there was a break in period. They are a very large boot to walk around in. I work in the shipping industry and safety is very important to me. Countless times I found myself continually tripping over my own feet. Not a good thing when I have to consciously think of how I walk. They claim to be waterproof, but after I walked in slush after a snowstorm, my right foot was completely soaked at the heel. Again, I walked in slush and not snow. Finding the right way to tie the shoe for me was difficult. How tight to tie the boot versus not to tie them tight was frustrating. I ended up to tie my boot very tight when I wore them to wade off the feeling of the heavy boot and the feeling of floppy around when I walked. Overall, I would not recommend this boot. I was caught up in the moment by all the bells and whistles this boot had to offer. Also, the size of the boot was an initial draw for me as I thought this would be an added bonus to support and protection. But, my inability to walk without tripping and the fact that my foot got soaked after walking in slush when these are advertised to be waterproof, was a complete deal breaker. I was overall very disappointed in the boot. I went back to the retailer and was able to get a full refund for my purchase. I have since gone back to Chippewa and ordered the exact same boot I previously had. I do not see myself buying another Keen boot in the future.
