A properly fitted garment not only keeps you looking professional, but also keeps you feeling comfortable for your entire work day. See below for advice on taking accurate measurements.

Carhartt Scrubs Unisex Sizes

Unisex scrubs are designed to be worn comfortably by both men and women and are generally cut to fit a bit more loosely. Since the fit accommodates men, many women achieve a better fit by stepping down one size from what they might otherwise wear in a ladies' size.

How to Take Your Measurements for a Great Fit

For best results, follow these guidelines:

  • Take all measurements in inches
  • If your measurements are between sizes, order the larger size
  • For greatest accuracy, have someone else take your measurements (rather than doing it yourself)
  • Your tape measure should be pulled snug, not tight

Chest: Exhale, then measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest; Be sure to hold the tape level and firmly, but not tight

Waist: Keep the tape loose and measure around your natural waistline; For most, the waist will sit at the hipbone, but if you wear your scrub bottoms at a different place on your waist, please adjust accordingly

Length: We suggest Petites for women up to 5'3", Regular length up to 5'6", and Tall length for 5'7" and above.

Inseam: Measure from the top of inner thigh to the top of the heel of the shoe.

Hip: Standing with your feet slightly apart, measure around the fullest part of your body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good! Can't yet attest to durability, as I've just started wearing the pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great pants, but so inconsistent fit wise When you can get a pair that fits properly, they're amazing, but that's the hard part. I've been wearing these pants for almost 10 years, but the past two years have been brutal. I've always worn a 40x32 but I'm finding more and more that the sizing is inconsistent. I used to be able to grab 5 pairs off the shelf once a year and go to work, now I have to order a bunch, or go store to store and try on up to a dozen pairs to get proper fitting ones. I'm sized with a large rear end and thighs and that's what loose fit is for. For those saying that they're baggy, try a relaxed fit, which is smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit for any duty..... I wear Carhartt at work, operating equipment at a coal burning power plant, and at home. In addition to my chores at home which include brush cutting , tending animals and other sundry duties which are the norm in a rural area, I am a licensed CCW permit holder. I find that Carhartt's original fit has enough room for me and the single stack 9 I carry in a pocket holster. The pockets are roomy enough to accommodate the pistol and the leg/thigh area is loose enough to accommodate the pistol without printing. I carry a spare mag in the small pocket on the offhand side. These pants are cut perfect for work, at work or home, and are an attractive and functional item for concealed carry and scial situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are my primary warm weather pants. I use the dungarees for cooler weather and these carpenter pants when it's warm. I like another brand a lot that I won't mention in here as well, but my Carhartts are my favorites. I don't work construction any more though, so I can't say how durable they are for that sort of wear, but if you fold them fresh out of the dryer they don't need ironing. The first ones I got were a bit big, but they were so close to a perfect fit I tried shrinking them down just a bit using hot water in the washer and high heat in the dryer for my first few washes. One pair wouldn't shrink very much at all (they still work pretty well), but it worked nicely for most of them. It wasn't much shrinkage though--maybe a half a size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect all around pants! Bought a pair of these a few years back and would have bought sooner but the price held me back. Love love love these pants! I've purchased probably a dozen of this style in tan, mushroom, gray, and black. Great for work and play. Durability is fantastic and fit and comfort combined with that make these worth the fee extra dollars you'd save in a competitors pant. I've had only 1 very minor issue and that being the same size and style fit differtlty depending on color? It's not a major problem but definitely noticeable? I can't wait to cont to purchase these moving forward and try some other styles as well. Particularly the lightweight tappen cargo but I can't ever find my size in stock, oh well eventually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MY EVERYDAY LONG PANTS My everyday long pants. Heavy enough for winter. Light enough for summer. Plenty of room to bend your knees freely but still look great. The quality of manufacture is obvious. They've become kind of a necessary item for me. Charcoal looks good. My only quibble is that two different pairs of the exact same pant will vary somewhat in the waist size, one pair will fit right, the next not so much. This makes purchasing online without trying them on first somewhat unreliable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfict pants for me love the colors, had my hard to find size 32x34, love the loose fit, high quility, better then i ever bought at the big box stores, price right, every so often i buy something that realy impresses me, these pants are everything i ever wanted. thers is 1 tiny change you can make to make the pants best thing ever. the 2 belt loops in the very front are alittle to close to gether, hard to get my big belt buckel to latch. the 2 picture are to show the type guy i am, love dogs, work hard, have big toys. thanks ron

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Over all great, but they run long sometimes We've been buying these same pants for years. They're durable, comfortable, and they have all the pockets you need. BUT we run into the issue every so often that a pair is longer than it is stated and we have to get them hemmed or return them. We just bought two pair and one pair is perfect, the other is just an inch or so longer and drags the ground. I washed them to try to shrink them just enough but it didn't work, we'll have to hem them. Love 'em and love Carhartt, just wish they were more consistent!
