The 5.11 Taclite series of boots are our newest introduction to our growing Taclite family of products that build on the features and benefits you've come to expect and providing even lighter weight and more breathable performance.

Form
The design of the Taclite boot is both modern and traditional.  We use the traditional lace to toe construction, but have strategically placed multiple panels of leather, mesh and nylon to speed up the appearance and increase the functionality.  The profile of the boots are rugged, fast and supportive while the toe down looks traditional and no nonsense.

Function
The Taclite boot has a combination of suede, 1200D Cordura nylon and breathable air mesh.  Behind the scenes the Taclite boot enhances the breathability with the use of perforated EVA foam padding instead of the traditional basic foam backings.  To further enhance the moisture management system, we use antibacterial and moisture wicking linings.  This combination of materials will keep your feet comfortable and dry throughout your long shift.

The new comfort platform of the Taclite boot uses an Ortholite sockliner, composite shank and CMEVA midsole that work together to provide maximum cushioning, comfort and support for any possible situation.  This cushioning system sits on top of our newly developed outsole.  The outsole of the Taclite has deep flex grooves for great flexibility while the multi directional lugs provide a solid base and traction in all terrains.  The fast rope control tread and defined heel brake help control your movements when you need it most.

Fit
The Taclite boots are ready to wear right out of the box with no break in time needed.  The Zonal Lacing System and the multiple notch outs works well with the "sausage laces" to adjust and secure any shape foot.  We've also incorporated the new 5.11 Lace Station to keep your laces neat and secure.

Properly-fitted tactical gear not only keeps you looking professional, but also keeps you feeling comfortable for your entire shift. See below for advice on taking accurate measurements.

Measuring for Proper Fit

Men - Taking measurementsThe following guidelines are important in getting the right fit:

  • Take all measurements in inches
  • If your measurements are between sizes, order the larger size
  • For greatest accuracy, have someone else take your measurements (rather than doing it yourself)
  • Your tape measure should be pulled snug, not tight
For Men's shirts:
  • NECK: Measure the circumference of the neck (see illustration)
  • SLEEVE LENGTH: Place one end of tape at the bottom of your collar, at the center of your back, then measure down around your elbow to the bottom of your wrist (it helps to have your arm slightly bent)
  • CHEST: Measure at the fullest point of the chest, keeping the tape under arms and around shoulder blades; Be sure to hold the tape level and firmly, but not tight
For Men's trousers, jeans, and bib overalls:
  • WAIST: Holding the tape snug, not tight, measure at the top of the hipbone over shirt (not over pants); If you wear your trousers or jeans at a different place on your waist, adjust accordingly
  • INSEAM: Measure from the base of the crotch to the top of your shoe or boot; For jeans, add one inch
For Men's jackets:
  • CHEST SIZE: Measure at the fullest point of the chest, keeping the tape under arms and around shoulder blades; Take this measurement over clothing you'll typically wear with the jacket
  • SLEEVE LENGTH: Place one end of tape at the bottom of your collar, at the center of your back, then measure down around your elbow to the outer edge of your wrist
