The 5.11 Responder Parka is designed to outfit those that are first on the scene and last to leave. The shell jacket in this 3 in 1 system utilizes a durable waterproof 10,000mm fabric, detailed with ¾” reflective tape at the hem, chest, and sleeves and reflective piping along front/back yoke and sleeves. Fully seam sealed waterproof, breathable garment construction. The shell is lined with its own DuPont dot laminated taffeta which creates a reliable barrier to blood borne pathogens. The liner boasts a warm 290g 2 sided polyester fleece with abrasion and water resistant panels on the collar, shoulder yoke and back of forearm, multiple cavernous pockets and the Back Up Belt System™ compatible to hold all your gear and a specifically designed easy access radio pocket. The Responder Parka is there to answer the call whenever the call comes in.

An independent laboratory has tested this product and has found that the materials and seams provide passing results when tested in accordance with ASTM F 1671, Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials Used in Protective Clothing to Penetration by Blood-Borne Pathogens. It is important to note, however, that, even though a garment materials and seams may satisfy the standards of ASTM F 1671, it might not provide an adequate barrier to viruses in all conditions and 5.11's products will not protect the wearer from all blood-borne pathogens and viruses under all conditions.

All end users will need to assess the specific hazards in their workplace in order to determine the appropriate types and levels of personal protective clothing and equipment that they might need.

To maintain proper performance, 5.11 products must be maintained in accordance with the care instructions on the product label.

5.11 Men's Pants Sizes may be expressed as either "waist x inseam" (e.g. "34-36" for 34-inch waist with 36-inch inseam) or as "size x fit" ("XL-R" for size XL Regular). See below for measuring advice.

5.11 Women's Pants Sizes typically expressed as "ready-to-wear size x fit" (e.g. "10-T" for size 10 Tall).

Measuring for Proper Fit

Men - Taking measurementsThe following guidelines are important in getting the right fit:

  • Take all measurements in inches
  • If your measurements are between sizes, order the larger size
  • For greatest accuracy, have someone else take your measurements (rather than doing it yourself)
  • Your tape measure should be pulled snug, not tight
For Men's shirts:
  • NECK: Measure the circumference of the neck (see illustration)
  • SLEEVE LENGTH: Place one end of tape at the bottom of your collar, at the center of your back, then measure down around your elbow to the bottom of your wrist (it helps to have your arm slightly bent)
  • CHEST: Measure at the fullest point of the chest, keeping the tape under arms and around shoulder blades; Be sure to hold the tape level and firmly, but not tight
For Men's trousers, jeans, and bib overalls:
  • WAIST: Holding the tape snug, not tight, measure at the top of the hipbone over shirt (not over pants); If you wear your trousers or jeans at a different place on your waist, adjust accordingly
  • INSEAM: Measure from the base of the crotch to the top of your shoe or boot; For jeans, add one inch
For Men's jackets:
  • CHEST SIZE: Measure at the fullest point of the chest, keeping the tape under arms and around shoulder blades; Take this measurement over clothing you'll typically wear with the jacket
  • SLEEVE LENGTH: Place one end of tape at the bottom of your collar, at the center of your back, then measure down around your elbow to the outer edge of your wrist
