Ordering Information ~ Placing an order
Finding Items You Want
Use the menus at the top of any page to start shopping any of our departments or name brands. You can also search the site by entering a keyword or style number into the search box at the top of any page. Our easy-to-use in-page filters and sorting options can help you zero in even more, based on qualities like color, size, price, fit, and more. From there, detailed information on your items is just a click away.
Ordering Items Using Special Item or Promotional Codes
It's easy to find and order some of the items featured in our flyers and promotional emails. Just type the web code associated with the item into the search box at the top of any page.
Adding Items to Your Shopping Cart
Once you've found an item you like, simply select all the desired options (usually size, color, and quantity) and click "Add to Cart." Your just-added item will appear in your "mini-cart" at the top right of the page. You can then add additional colors and sizes from that style. Click a button in the mini-cart to view your entire cart or to check out immediately. Or, continue browsing using our navigation menus or search.
Checking Out and Completing Your Order
From your shopping cart or mini-cart, click the "Check Out Now" button.
If you already have an online account with us, just log in, and we'll automatically fill in your favorite shipping address to save time during checkout.
If you don't have an account, you can sign up or check out as a guest. As you complete your order, we'll ask if you'd like to create an optional account to use on your next visit.
Proceed through the check-out boxes, filling out the required information for each step.
Once you tell us how you'd like to pay for your order and where we should send your purchases, you'll have one more chance to look over your order. Click "Submit Order" to place the order. The next screen will be a Thank You page confirming that your order was placed. You'll also see a link to a printable receipt.
We'll also send you an order confirmation by email. And, when your order is shipped, you'll receive an emailed shipping notification. If your order will be shipped from multiple locations, or at different times, you may receive more than one shipping notification.

Changes to Your Order
We're sorry, but order details can't be changed once you submit your order. We process orders quickly, and once an order begins the automated fulfillment process we may be unable to make modifications. We regret any inconvenience, and it's our hope that in most cases a faster processing time works to your advantage. If you have questions about your pending order or would like to discuss available options, please contact us by phone during business hours or send us a message as soon as you're able. If you've already taken delivery of all or part of your order, please refer to our Easy Returns page for help.
Anything you add to your cart will be in stock at that time. In the unlikely event we're unable to fill your entire order we'll let you know immediately. Out-of-stock items are ordinarily not backordered. We will never substitute colors, sizes, or styles without your okay.

Payment Types Accepted
Credit cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Payment Types Not Accepted Online
- Retail gift certificates and cards: At this time, we're unable to accept in-store gift certificates online.
- Electronic checks: We cannot accept electronic checks or "e-checks" for online orders.
- Multiple credit cards: Only one credit card can be entered for a single order.
Charges to Your Credit Card Account
Your purchases, applicable taxes, and shipping are charged to your card when your order ships. If your order is shipped over multiple days the total shipping amount is applied to the first shipment.
Your satisfaction is important to us. We hope you'll understand that, despite our best efforts, we do make occasional errors. Work 'N Gear is not obligated to honor pricing errors that may occur from time to time.
Work 'N Gear does not collect sales tax on orders shipped to states other than those in which Work 'N Gear has a physical presence. However, even though a purchase is made online, it may not be exempt from the use tax where you reside. Some states require residents to pay use taxes directly to state tax authorities. For more information and instructions, please consult your state's Web site.
States in which Work 'N Gear or its subsidiaries have a physical location include: AZ, CT, DE, FL, IA, IL, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, and TX. This list is not a definitive indicator of whether all of part of your order is subject to taxation. Appropriate tax calculations will be made in your cart upon checkout and can be considered accurate.
Ordering Information ~ Shipping Options
Our suppliers may use one or more reliable domestic carriers to fulfill orders. UPS, FedEx, and the U.S. Postal Service may be used. We cannot specify which carrier is to be used for any given shipment.
Standard ground shipments within the contiguous U.S. will almost always reach you in 7 to 10 business days. Delivery times for packages to APO/FPO destinations are typically 10 to 15 days. Standard Ground shipping is not available to our customers located in Alaska or Hawaii.
Carhartt Shipments: With limited exceptions, your Carhartt items will be shipped directly to you by the manufacturer. Please allow an additional 1-2 days for delivery.
Express Delivery is available for most items at an additional charge. Once you enter your shipping address at checkout, you'll be prompted to select from a list of available shipping methods for your order. Express orders placed weekdays before 9:30 AM ET will be processed that same day. Express orders after 9:30 AM will still be processed in a timely way, but expect to add one "day" to the projected delivery time (for example, a 2-Day Express order could be expected to arrive on the third day after the order is placed).

Shipping to APO/FPO/DPO Addresses
We're happy to be able to ship packages to our hard-working service members stationed overseas.
All mail must be addressed to someone specific; addressing mail to “Any Service Member” is no longer permitted. Please be sure to use the service member's full name.
At checkout, type or paste the APO/FPO/DPO (Air/Army Post Office, Fleet Post Office, or Diplomatic Post Office) address in the Address field. In the ZIP Code field, please type (do not copy/paste) the first five digits of the APO/FPO/DPO code. The automated city/state finder will not find a valid match, but you'll be able to change the city and state by clicking the city/state drop-down and selecting "Other...". Enter APO, FPO, or DPO for the city. Select AA, AE, or AP as the state. You can also add the "Plus 4" to the ZIP Code. Examples:

We designed our site's ordering system to keep your personal information secure, including your credit card number. Since everyday email is not secure in the same way, we don't accept orders sent by email. For your safety, please do not include your credit card information in any email sent to us.
Ordering Information ~ Promotions
In addition to everyday fair prices, workngear.com is happy to offer long-term as well as limited time savings promotions to our customers, including "flash" sales and occasional closeouts. We think it's reasonable to decline to adjust prior purchases based on promotional prices. We must consider the price at the time of check-out to be the agreed-upon price.
If you feel that a price in your cart doesn't reflect a price or discount we've stated elsewhere, we hope you'll let us know straight away so we can make corrections to ensure your savings.
Redeeming Online Promotions and Coupon Codes
You'll be able to enter coupon codes when reviewing your cart. Simply enter the code in the appropriate box and update your cart to apply the promotion to your order. In some cases, coupons may not be combined.
Promotions with Minimum Order Values
Minimum Order Value for percent-off or dollar-off promotions is calculated BEFORE discounts are applied. For example, a promotion offering $10 off of a $50 order might go like this: $55 in merchandise exceeds the $50 threshold so you may deduct $10, making your final merchandise cost $45. Minimum Order Value for shipping promotions is calculated AFTER merchandise discounts. For example, if free shipping is available for orders over $50, the $45 order above does not qualify, even though the original merchandise value exceeds $50. To redeem the free shipping offer, you would need to add at least $5.01 to your order. Or, you may choose to remove the $10 merchandise coupon and receive free shipping on your $55 order. We're happy to offer you the flexibility to get the best deal.
Alerting You to Savings
We'll display promotional and coupon discounts as early in your shopping session as possible. Generally, you can expect to see promotional savings on the cart and checkout pages. For promotions with a minimum order value, savings will not appear until you meet the minimum dollar amount.
Online Deals vs. In-store Deals
Work 'N Gear retail stock, including available brands, styles, sizes, and colors, will differ from those found here on workngear.com. For example, our online store can afford to offer a wider range of sizes and colors, while our retail stores may offer clearance items or special pricing we can't even mention online. In addition, providing identical merchandise that can be both ordered and delivered to your home involves very different costs from providing a snazzy, local place where you can chat with a Work 'N Gear Associate, try things on, and take them home immediately (the gear, not the associate). There are advantages to each kind of store, and being able to choose the one that suits you best at any one time is a great thing.
We want to offer you the best values and promotions we can, whenever we can, whether you purchase online or in our stores. Simply put, we don't force our online deals to match our store deals, or vice versa. Web-only coupons? Only good on the Web. In-store sale on coats? Yep, only in stores.
